a deviation from the post about each day. i wanna share something with ya that is probably the funniest and most ongoing inside joke we are sharing. i will not name names but while we were on the cloud forest hike, we were very lucky in spotting the quetzal, baby birds, a viper, and many other creatures that the guide said we were very lucky to see. it also didn’t rain while we were hiking around.

so we heard this woman in our group say to her friend, today is the best day ever. this woman is enthusiastic about everything and always so cheery. she drove dee crazy when dee was suffering on the rappelling trip cause she was always laughing and smiling and asking dee do you like it now?

since then, today is the best day ever has been our exclamation about everything. mostly when something annoying or bad happens.

yesterday the same woman saw monkeys in the park. she was so excited that she did the home alone face with her hands on either side of her faces and said, we saw … the … monkeys!! today was a perfect day and life is good were her next phrases that had us laughing for a while.

she is a nice person and we generally enjoy her, but she has some funny sayings. here are the attributes to our (sarcastic, in case ya don’t catch on) best day ever!!! on the way to quepos (the beach)

• rained from morning to night
• hour wait to cross a one way bridge
• six hour car ride that had the belgians begging for beer at the end
• internet still sucks in this town
• gotta pay the hotel for the safe and a/c
• overpriced grilled cheese and tomato
• learned that shiloh is sick due to being stressed out over day care
• dee’s stomach hurt cause we have a theory she is lactose intolerant

life is good. :-p
