i didn’t expect the internet to be so freaking, incredibly, annoyingly slow. everything is slow. the computers should be in a museum (PIII with USB 1.1) and the connection is a slow ISDN 128 kbps. the usb connection makes transferring the pics to the computer slow and then it is unbelievable slow to transfer to the website.

i saw a posting in an internet cafe’s window selling a PIII with 488MB (dunno why you would have that amount of RAM), floppy drive, CDROM, and some other stuff for 250,000 colonnes, roughly 500 dollars! got me thinking about opening my own internet cafe where the computers would scream and the connection would be via satellite. hmm…
anyways, due to the above, i have been unable to successfully move images to the website and the wait time for things to load makes writing and posting almost unbearable. but i have waited way too long and now i will just do it with the teeth (persevere) as dee’s dad says. i will just write about the trip, which is still a lot of fun, and the images will be posted when we arrive in san jose, which is in two days. at least you have the rafting pics to laugh at until then.
